The Life of Riley’s journey began in 2015 with one simple goal: to create a sustainable dog bed that checked all the boxes, not only for dog owners but for the planet too. Fast forward to 2022, and new owners Steen, Georgia, and their daughter Billie-May (plus two dogs, Layla and Riley) have taken the business to new heights. What started as a humble idea is now a thriving family-run business, with a growing range of products – from their famous wool-filled dog beds to 100% natural dog treats, toys, and more – all loved by both humans and pups around the world!

As humans, we understand how important a good night’s rest is. Studies repeatedly show the positive impact quality sleep has on our health, but what about our dogs? On average, dogs require more sleep than humans, making a good bed just as essential to their well-being. And that’s where The Life of Riley shines. Our mission is to provide dogs with the perfect bed that combines comfort, sustainability and the durability they need to rest easy.

Our hero ingredient? New Zealand Wool. This eco-friendly material has been carefully selected for its incredible benefits. Recycled from the textile industry, our wool filling is biodegradable and perfect for year-round comfort. Wool is thermoregulating, naturally odour-resistant, and resilient, providing even weight support to reduce pressure on joints and muscles—an ideal choice for dogs suffering from arthritis.

We also believe in convenience, which is why our removable, machine-washable dog bed covers are made from 100% cotton corduroy. With a wide selection of colours, sizes, and styles, we understand that every dog is unique, and their bed should be, too.

Quality craftsmanship and a friendly, personal Kiwi customer experience are at the heart of what we do. Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, each product is handled with care and shipped from our Auckland warehouse, where we, the owners, personally oversee everything.
